Patient Forms, Map and Directions to Livonia Office

At your child's first visit to Pediatric Dental Specialists we will get to know your child and evaluate his/her oral health. Initial visits may include assessment and discussion of your child's oral health, hygiene and development, preventing dental injury, how diet and eating habits affect teeth, the importance of baby teeth, and oral habits.

In order to provide the best care for your child, it is necessary for us to do a complete oral examination, acquire background information, and review your child's medical history. An initial exam is needed prior to any treatment, even if your child has had an exam by a referring doctor. Dental treatment will not begin until we develop a custom treatment plan and discuss treatment options with you.

What To Expect
Being well-prepared for the initial appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for your child. We anticipate that your child may be anxious and we will do our best to calm their fears. If this is not your child's first visit to a dentist, bringing the most current x-rays will help with our diagnosis. This may also eliminate extra cost to you if the x-rays are adequate and do not need to be repeated. Also, take some time to review our staff page and familiarize yourself with the doctors. We look forward to your first visit.
